Also responsible for overseeing the management of the WDBIH Enterprise Development Fund, which is managed by a third-party fund manager.
Former Managing Director at Utho Capital Fund Managers (Pty) Ltd managing the Utho Capital SME Infrastructure Fund, a small niche fund mandated to finance SMEs in the infrastructure development sector, with a special focus on construction and property development.
Former Executive Director at Musa Capital Fund Managers (Pty) Ltd responsible for Group Funds focused on financing both mid-cap and SME enterprises.
Joined Khula Enterprise Finance Ltd (now Sefa) as Legal Advisor & Compliance Officer in 2005,where she facilitated the conclusion of significant Private Public Partnerships between Khula and select prominent private and public sector players within the SME funding space.
She holds a Master’s degree in Development Finance (Cum Laude), LL.B, and B.A. (Law) degrees attained in 2014, 1999 and 1997 respectively. Served Articles at Webber Newdigate Attorneys Inc. Admitted to the bar in 2000.
Combined investment and commercial legal advisory experience in financial services spans over 18 years.
Numerous years of experience as Investment Committee and Advisory Board member of numerous investment funds, including IDF Capital, Sanari Capital, and Utho Capital Fund Managers, inter alia.
Board experience: current independent non-executive board member at Merchant West Holdings (Pty) Ltd (member of the Audit Committee and chair of the Social Ethics Committee). She is also a non-executive director of Counterpoint Asset Management (subsidiary of Merchant West). Modula is also a member of the Transformation Sub-Committee of the Southern African Venture Capital
and Private Equity Association (SAVCA).
